IPL 2024 playoffs qualification scenario
Except for Kolkata Knight Riders, all the teams have at least completed 11 matches so far in this edition of the Indian Premier League. No IPL team has officially entered the playoffs. However, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have more or less confirmed their playoff berths with 16 points each. KKR has 4 games left and RR has 3 games to be played.
Three teams have been left with 12 points. CSK, SRH, and LSG have 12 points and only NRR varies them. Delhi Capitals is not far behind with 10 points. RCB, PBKS, MI, and GT have 8 points each with an outside chance of entering the playoffs.
No team is willing to lose the momentum. Today, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals will be locking horns and if DC loses this match, it is more or less curtains for them. CSK, SRH, and LSG will want RR to win this match so that they will have less competition among them. Tomorrow’s match is extremely crucial for LSG and SRH as it will decide the future course of the playoff race.
