IPL 2024: RCB hanging on their playoff chances… RCB vs SRH
Royal Challengers Bangalore is having another dismal season. The team is currently placed at the bottom of the table with just 1 win in 8 games. Even if RCB wins all their remaining matches, they could go at a maximum of 14 points which doesn’t guarantee a playoff spot. Their chances depend on other results. But before that, they had to cross the first hurdle. RCB had to win against the high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad-based franchise is one of the strongest batting units in this season. They have crossed 250 three times already and posted the highest score ever in IPL. The openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were quite destructive. They are taking the team’s score to flyers in the powerplay. Henrich Klaasen is another powerful batter in the side. The middle-order of Shahbaz Ahmed and Nitish Kumar Reddy are playing some good cricket as well. SRH had their problems in the bowling department.
But coming to RCB, their batting isn’t clicking well. The whole batting depends on Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik. The overseas batters are failing regularly. The bowling is weak on the paper and it is translating onto the ground as well.
Today’s match happens in Uppal and we have to see who gains the upper hand.
