IPL 2024: Qualification scenario for SRH explained
Sunrisers Hyderabad is performing better when compared to the previous two seasons. The Hyderabad-based franchise is currently placed fourth in the points table. Today SRH plays a crucial match against Lucknow Super Giants at their home ground.
SRH has three games left and winning all three games means they will proceed to the playoffs without any fuss by reaching to 18 points.
However, SRH can also qualify for the playoffs with two wins in their last three matches, they will proceed with 16 points with NRR coming in to play. Only two other teams can get to 16 points maximum.
Sunrisers Hyderabad can even reach the playoffs with only one win in the remaining three matches with NRR in their favor and potentially PBKS, RCB, and GT winning all their remaining games.
The men in orange also have an outside chance of qualifying for the playoffs with zero wins in their remaining three matches. They will stay at 12 points and all other teams except KKR and RR could stick to 12 points, with NRR on their side, SRH can proceed. For this to happen, they want LSG to lose their last two matches; DC not to win more than one match, and PBKS, RCB, GT, and MI to win not more than two matches.
