IPL 2024 Gujarat Titans takes on Delhi Capitals
Another important match kickoff in the Indian Premier League where Gujarat Titans take on the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to bowl first. David Warner sits out again and DC brought in Shai Hope in his place.
Delhi Capitals did start positively. They scored 34 runs in just 3 overs. But one over changed the dynamics of the game as both the openers were sent packing. First, Fraser-McGurk was caught by Noor Ahmad at deep square leg and two balls later, Prithvi Shaw was out by a stunning catch by Noor Ahmad again.
Axar Patel was promoted to No. 3 and he is looking to get an eye currently. Shai Hope bit the dust for just 5 runs and fell to Warrier again just like openers. By the end of the powerplay, the Delhi Capitals scored 44/3. It could be a decent start if not for the three wickets. We have to wait and see whether Delhi Capitals middle-order could give a good fight back. Still, Gujarat Titans Afghan spinners are yet to bowl.
