India’s squad for fourth test: Bumrah rested; KL Rahul to miss out

Bumrah rested and KL Rahul ruled out

The squad for the fourth test that is going to be played in Ranchi has undergone a couple of changes. Team India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah who was instrumental in winning the last two test matches has been released from the squad. He will have a rest and might join for the fifth and the final test match.

The rest was given keeping in mind the workload Bumrah had in the first three tests and the upcoming IPL season along with the T20 World Cup that is said to be played starting June 1st. Mukesh Kumar was released from the squad for the third test has joined back for the fourth test.

KL Rahul who missed the 2nd and the 3rd tests due to quadriceps injury will miss the fourth test as well. His participation in the fifth test is subject to fitness clearance. Other than these changes, the squad remains the same.
