The meteorological department has warned the nation that the heat waves have been on the record rise. The temperatures have seen 100-year-old temperatures being broken. April have more heat waves than in recent years. In April, we have witnessed temperatures recorded at more than 43 degrees Celsius. A few areas have recorded witnessed temperatures more than 45 degrees Celsius. The department has stated that the heat waves are going to continue in the next 5 days.

Officials of the Meteorological Department have requested people to pay special attention in this regard. Some parts of Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha are likely to experience hot winds. Apart from this, some parts of Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh are likely to experience extremely hot winds.

Given the hot winds, here are the precautions to be taken to stay safe. Stay at home, and keep windows and doors closed… Avoid traveling as much as possible… Do not sleep on concrete floors… Do not sit against concrete walls… Unplug electronic devices…

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert that there is a risk of heat stroke in areas like West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, and Rayalaseema due to the heat of the sun.
