Harish Rao’s PA arrested in misuse of CMRF

Former Minister of Telangana Harish Rao’s aide, his PA, and three others were arrested for the misuse of the CMR Funds. The Hyderabad City Police have arrested Naresh, Personal assistant to Harish Rao along with three others in connection to the alleged misappropriation of funds from the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds.

Following a complaint lodged by Duma Ravi Naik, the Hyderabad City Police conducted a primary investigation and took into custody Naresh Kumar, Korlapati Vamsi, Venkatesh Goud, and Omkar. Going into the details, Ravi Naik’s wife succumbed to snake bite injuries on November 6th and faced the hefty medical and hospital bills amounting to Rs. 5 lakhs, Ravi Naik approached Chief Minister’s Relief Funds.

However, he discovered irregularities in the disbursement of the funds intended for his wife’s bills. After the investigation, it was revealed that the cheques were received by Jogula Naresh Kumar.

On the other hand, Harish Rao’s office clarified that Naresh Kumar was not a PA but a temporary employee in his office.
