England made two changes for the fourth test in Ranchi
Continuing the trend of announcing the playing XI the day before the test match, England has named the playing XI for the fourth test that is to be played at Ranchi. The management has made two changes to the playing XI of the third test that happened in Rajkot.
Ollie Robinson replaces Mark Wood as the second pacer on the side and Shoaib Bashir comes in place of Rehan Ahmed. This is Robinson’s first test appearance since last July when he got injured during the Leeds test in Ashes. He will accompany James Anderson in the pace department.
So England has stuck to the two pacers, two spinners formula while they have Joe Root who can play more than a part-timer role.
Other than these, England hasn’t made any changes to the side. They have once trusted Jonny Bairstow who has been going through a lean phase in this series.
England XI: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Ben Foakes, Tom Hartley, Ollie Robinson, James Anderson, Shoaib Bashir.
