Budget sessions of Andhra Pradesh assembly to kickstart on February 5th
The Andhra Pradesh assembly budget sessions are going to kickstart on February 5th. The session begins with the address of Governor S Abdul Nazeer to the joint session of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. The state cabinet which met today has decided that the assembly budget sessions will last for three to five days. As this is the election year, the budget sessions would be limited.
Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath will introduce the budget in the house. The vote on account budget is likely to be around Rs 75,000 crore. Last fiscal year, the YSR Congress government introduced a Rs 2.91 lakh crore budget and this time it would be around Rs. 3 lakh Crore.
Due to the elections, the welfare programs are going to be the prime focus of the YSR Congress government in the budget. It will be their main weapon. The Chief Minister believes that the welfare schemes are going to be their biggest weapon going to the elections.
