The polling started at 7 AM in the morning in Madhya Pradesh today for the assembly elections. The elections are being held in a single phase in the state. As per the official records, till 11 AM, 28 percent of the voters have turned to vote. The voting is going to increase in the afternoon. It will continue till 5 PM while in some places like Baihar, Lanji, and Parswara assembly seats of Balaghat district and others, voting will be closed by 3 PM.

BJP and Congress are battling fiercely in the ongoing elections for 230 seats. Congress led by Kamal Nath is keen to take down Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s government. A while back, Shivraj Singh Chauhan along with his family utilized his vote power.

On the other hand, the second phase of Chattisgarh elections has started today. The first phase was held for 20 seats on November 7th and the polling for the remaining 50 seats is being held today. BJP was in power in the state from 2003 to 2018 and is keen to take down the current Congress government.
