YSR Congress MLA opposes Citizenship Amendment Act

For the first time in their five years, the YSR Congress has opposed the center’s decisions. YSRCP has been maintaining a secret friendship with BJP over these years. Despite not granting SCS or other major demands, YSRCP has also supported the BJP’s moves in Lok Sabha.

However, after allying with TDP, the YSR Congress has finally opposed the decision of BJP’s recent act. YSR Congress MLA Hafiz Khan issued a statement opposing the recently introduced Citizenship Amendment Act in its current format. He told the media persons that it would hurt the Muslim Community.

He said that there was an urgent need for reform in the current structure of CAA and to address the legitimate concerns of the Muslim Community.
