Akhil’s Agent completes 1 year
It’s been one year already since the release of Akhil Akkineni’s last movie Agent. The movie was an outright disaster at the box office. This is Akhil’s biggest-ever disaster. Agent is one of the biggest loss ventures for AK Entertainments headed by Anil Sunkara. In one of the interviews post-release, Anil Sunkara stated that they went for the shoot without any bounded script and paid the price. Agent was made on a lavish budget.
Though it’s been one year since the release of the film, Agent’s digital release never happened. Sony LIV acquired the digital rights to the movie and already multiple streaming dates have been announced and nothing materialized. The reason behind the delay is not known yet and the producer hasn’t responded to the delay either.
Akkineni fans have trolled director Surender Reddy and producer Anil Sunkara for not making Agent available on the OTT platforms. The film has trended on the social media after the movie completed 1 year.
