Anna Konidela Offers Hair at Tirumala in Gratitude for Son’s Safety

Anna Konidela, wife of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, visited the sacred Tirumala temple to offer her hair to Lord Venkateswara, fulfilling a vow made during a recent crisis. Her son, Mark Shankar, had narrowly escaped a fire accident, and Anna believed it was the divine grace of Lord Venkateswara that protected him.

Honoring her promise, she participated in the ritual at Padmavati Kalyanakatta alongside common devotees. Following the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) guidelines, she signed the official declaration before offering her hair. Anna expressed that her act was a symbol of deep faith and reverence for the Lord, and a gesture of gratitude for what she described as her son’s “rebirth.”

Her humble offering, made among everyday pilgrims, was appreciated by many as a reflection of strong personal belief and the values of Sanatana Dharma.
