Rishab Pant suspended for one match in IPL; Here’s why

Rishab Pant set to miss one match in IPL 2024

Delhi Capitals captain Rishab Pant has been suspended for one match in the Indian Premier League. Rishab Pant was fined Rs. 30 lakhs for his team’s slow over-rate in the game against Rajasthan Royals. Delhi Capitals were 10 minutes behind time at the start of the final over in that game.

This was Delhi Capitals’ third such offense and hence Rishab Pant has been handed over a one-match suspension. The rest of the Delhi Capitals players were handed Rs. 12 lakhs or 50 percent of their match fee whichever is lesser.

With this, Rishab Pant is going to miss the crucial fixture against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday evening. This is a virtual knockout match for Delhi Capitals and RCB as well. Delhi Capitals were currently placed in the 5th place in the points table with 12 points in 12 games.
