In a shocking development, the board of the company Chat GPT fired Open AI CEO Sam Altman, which should send shock waves across the tech industry. Sam Altman was the face of Open AI. He ran Y Contributor and is a serial entrepreneur and investor. Open AI stated in the blog that the board no longer had confidence in Sam Altman’s ability to lead the firm. “He was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its responsibilities,” said the board in the blog.

It also revealed that OpenAI’s Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati will serve as interim CEO and added that the formal search for a permanent CEO is on.

“I loved my time at Openai. it was transformative for me personally, and hopefully the world a little bit. most of all I loved working with such talented people. Will have more to say about what’s next later,” Altman wrote on X.

Following the sacking of Sam Altman, its co-founder Greg Brockman revealed that Sam Altman was fired via a Google Meet call. Even, Greg was removed from the board. He then resigned himself from his post.
