BCCI announces T20 World Cup squad

BCCI has today announced the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup that will be played in West Indies and USA. There are no major surprises from the selection committee and indeed they have considered the performances of players from the IPL 2024 so far.

Rohit Sharma will lead the side and Hardik Pandya is the vice-captain of it. Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson have been picked as the designated wicket-keepers and their performances in the going IPL are top-notch.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel will be the spinners while Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja are the all-rounders along with Hardik. Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, and Arshdeep will take care of the pace department. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav are the specialist batters along with Rohit Sharma.

Shubhman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Avesh Khan will be the traveling reserves along with the squad.
