The ongoing season of the Indian Premier League 2024 has turned controversial once again. The umpiring decisions became the talking point in yesterday’s match. Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost the match to Kolkata Knight Riders by just 1 run. A couple of umpiring decisions in yesterday’s match turned controversial.

There was a six hit by an RCB batter and the umpire without even thinking twice declared it as a four. There was another clear no-ball bowled by a KKR bowler but the umpire didn’t spot that. But the most controversial one of the night was Virat Kohli’s wicket.

Harshit Rana bowled a beamer to Virat Kohli and the surprised RCB batter tried to nudge it. The ball was pouched by Harshit Rana claiming a catch. The umpire gave it as an out. Virat Kohli referred it to the Third Umpire and he deemed it as a fair delivery when the ball was traveling over the waist height. With these umpiring blunders, RCB lost the match and as a result, they are almost out of the tournament.
