Gaami the clear winner among the weekend releases

Another weekend has completed and yet again it is not a completely satisfying week for the trade. Last weekend, Two straight movies Gaami and Bhimaa were released along with a dubbing film Premalu. Among these three movies, Gaami made the most buzz and it emerged as the clear winner.

According to the official confirmation, Gaami collected a huge share of Rs. 20 Crores in its opening weekend. In the USA, Gaami crossed the half-million mark. The film achieved the breakeven in most of the areas and will start to receive profits.

On the other hand, Gopichand starrer Bhimaa which earned below-average reviews opened to decent numbers on day 1 but unfortunately, it couldn’t sustain the momentum. There was not much buzz for the movie pre-release and that has hurt the film. Premalu which was a Malayalam blockbuster did okay business in the Telugu States. It was a safe venture for its budget. Overall, Gaami managed to be the clear winner of the last weekend’s releases.
