Mark Wood and James Anderson in playing XI for Rajkot test

After a huge gap, the third test between India and England finally commenced at Rajkot, and as usual, England announced their playing XI a day before. Unlike the first two tests, England picked up two seamers in their playing XI. In the first test, Mark Wood is the lone pacer and for the second test, it is James Anderson.

Now for the third test, both these pacers are going to play and England has decided to drop Shoaib Bashir. So, Rehan Ahmed and Tom Hartley are going to be the specialist spinners for this test. They have Joe Root as the handy part-time spinner. The rest of the playing XI remains the same.

England’s playing Xi: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Ben Foakes, Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Mark Wood, James Anderson.

India on the other hand is going to face a tough challenge with an inexperienced batting order. Will the management drop KS Bharat and give a chance to Dhruv Jurel?
