Eagle movie review – Action works, rest falls flat
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s latest movie Eagle was released today. The promos of the film looked interesting. Karthik Ghattamaneni directed the film, and Anupama Parameswaran and Kavya Thapar were in the female lead roles. Let us check out the review of Eagle.
Story:
Sahadev Varma (Ravi Teja) produces rare wild cotton. Nalini (Anupama Parameswaran), a journalist covers Sahadev and his rare wild cotton which has huge demand in Europe. However, Nalini brings trouble for Sahadev as his cover is blown away. He is the most wanted by many organizations.
Who is Sahadev, Why is he most wanted? What is his backstory forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Ravi Teja underplays his energy in this movie for most of the part. The getup looks good and Ravi Teja has done well. He is impressive with intense acting.
Kavya Thapar looks lovely onscreen and she has done decent. However, her character arc is not so engaging. As said before, Anupama Parameswaran plays the role of journalist. She is okay. Navdeep is seen in an important role.
Madhubala, Ajay Ghosh, Srinivas Avasarala, and others played crucial roles in the movie.
Technicalities:
Davzand’s musical work is disappointing. While the songs don’t register much, the background music is better. Apart from directing, Karthik Ghattamaneni handled editing and some parts of cinematography. The cinematography work is excellent while the editing could have been better. The production values by People Media Factory are excellent.
Karthik Ghattamaneni picked a simple plot and tried to turn it into an action extravaganza. While the action part looks cool, the others fell flat.
Analysis:
Eagle looks promising with the action part and the others are not so engaging. If you have no qualms then you can give it a try.
