Yatra 2 movie review – Interesting for targeted audiences
Actor Jiiva portrayed the role of YS Jaganmohan Reddy in the film Yatra 2 and Mammootty played YS Rajasekhar Reddy in the film. It is the sequel of Yatra and discusses the rise of YS Jagan in politics after the demise of his father. Yatra 2 was released today. Check out the review.
Story:
As said before, Yatra 2 showcases the incidents that happened in YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s life after the sudden demise of his father. The film depicts Congress as the real villain in Jagan’s life. What are the steps taken by Jagan to overcome all the hurdles thrown at him?
Performances:
Jiiva has tried his best to look at himself as YS Jagan. His body language, histrionics, everything makes us believe he is YS Jagan. We know how terrific actor Mammootty is. He has once again impressed as YSR in Yatra 2. Subhalekha Sudhakar’s role is terrifically designed as well. The actress who played Sonia Gandhi did very well. The others are fine including Mahesh Manjrekar.
Technicalities:
The story by Mahi V Raghav revolves around a single-point agenda. It only focuses on the bright side of YS Jagan and portrays him as a demi-god. This will be liked by the supporters of that party. The background music could have been much better. However, the cinematography and production values stand out.
The dialogue came out well. Mahi V Raghav might be successful in depicting what he believed and conceived keeping aside the truth behind it.
Analysis:
Having said that Yatra 2 is an engaging watch for the supporters of YSR and YS Jagan. For others, it might end up an okayish watch. Watch at your interest.
